Intended Outcomes

RUBRIC outcomes will include:

  • Research repository exemplar/s at a regional university site (USQ)

  • Repository establishment and critical mass population at partner institutions

  • Embedding repository services into research infrastructure

  • Regional repository integration into national / international discovery services

  • Platform for feedback into repository software development, ensuring regional deployment issues are covered

  • Documentation for facilitating the dissemination and deployment of FRODO outcomes in a regional setting

  • Documenting technical issues and resolutions

  • Support mechanisms for implementers to share experiences

  • Advocacy and promotional tools to assist uptake of repository infrastructure regionally

  • Embedding workflows and support services in partner universities

  • Promotion of and contribution to standards based approaches to information discovery, storage and sharing, benefits of which can be applied nationally

  • Development of sustainability strategies in partner universities

  • Articulation of repository systems with other university systems

  • Understanding the relationships and integration issues between repositories

  • Understanding the alignment between research and learning objects and issues surrounding their storage, curation, recombination and preservation

  • Effective open linking between repository metadata and full-text resources

  • Exploration of the non-technical issues to do with repository population, such as building human and organizational capability and the advocacy required to embed these technologies into the organization
